Site Review - Julie Garwood

I have to quit showing you BAD examples (like this) before you are familiar with many good examples ... but it's so fun!

Answer
1. What is the primary purpose of this site?
2. How long did it take from submitting the page to actually seeing something?
3. Do you think this would work on an older computer?

You can see why people would do this kind of thing, because it's kind of cool. Yes, cool for a game or a diversion, but if you're trying to sell something (Like books!), or get some information across (Wikipedia) you want to be quick and efficient. They don't make stores into mazes or amusement parks, because they want you in, and out with a purchase.

While you may (and should) make your sites interesting, also make them easy to use ... people should not have to "learn" how to use your site.

    1. I think that its for an author, displaying her books.

    2. A bit longer than normal.

    3. It might not, because the older computer may have dial-up or a slow internet, so it may never load.

    1. It's an authors website, so it's about old and new books and how to contact the author and stuff.
    2. A few seconds--not as bad as the harry potter site but still too long :D
    3. Noooo way...You're computer would probably blow up. Or not. But it would slow down everything.

    1. This site was made by a author im guessing trying to promote her books or whatever.
    2. it took a long time to load which is bad cuz usually people dont want some kind of animation when they are browsing.
    3. no this site wouldnt even show up on a older computer and would take forever to load

    - it took awhile to actually see something because i was getting distracted with the music

    its some authors site

    takes a looong time to load

    if your computer was too old this would probably set it on fire

    #2:seeing something what
    the layout is horrible and boring with annoying sounds
    #3:No its like to much for a older computer to handle

    1) the primary purpose of this site is to find information on books by Julie Garwood. Also to tell friends about the author.
    2)It took about 5 seconds which i think was a waste.
    3) It would but it would take FOREVER to load.
